Overall, this was a great, light read that was easy to get into and enjoyable from beginning to end. I loved how easy it was to get lost in the story, and it kept me entertained throughout.

Bea's new book Out of Sight - the first in a trilogy - is perfect for reading during the summer months as you are laying on a dock, soaking up the sun in the sand, or for those who are longing to feel the warmer days and escape to a quaint town where the ocean is visible everywhere you go. It is not a light-hearted story about vacations to a beach-side resort or a cruise trip through tourist areas, but it is a story about growth and learning to trust again.

We follow a man named Silas who is struggling with medical issues that start affecting his life and force him to flee to this small town in Nova Scotia. Rowan is a sailor who has spent all of her life in Peggy's Cove; she is a woman living in the harbor who dreams of creating a better future for our oceans to continue her father's legacy. A near-death crash forces these two to meet and sets off a story of facing their pasts, overcoming their own fears of letting somebody in, learning to lean on somebody when in need, and changing their unhealthy behaviors they've always utilized.

It was a very emotional story that delved into heavy topics in a way that made me feel it deep in my heart, to the point it felt as though I was witnessing it happen in front of me rather than through paper. I didn't expect how connected everyone is to the past that is revealed through the chapters, and the pages were filled with happiness, sadness, characters at a loss of what to do next, and hope for the future.

I would compare her writing to Nicholas Sparks with this story and how she portrays the coast of Nova Scotia, the people that live in it, and the characters I grew to love here. Book 2 can't come fast enough!

Come meet Silas and Rowan. Two individuals who have had to journey out of a past full of pain and hardship alone. Society would have never thought their present state of success would have been achievable based on where they came from and what they had to endure. But with life and success also comes more challenges and it is within this season that their lives collide. Both, full of determination, pride, and the unknown, their journey together will bring joy, anger and tears. I found myself falling in love with these characters, rooting for them, scolding them and yearning for them.

Be ready to get involved and clear your schedule so you can experience life with them.

A Sincere & Heartfelt Reflection of Love and Loss From Scott's POV. This is an emotional and reflective story that explores love, loss, forgiveness and healing.

This is a haunting story of three people who have essentially been hiding from one other. The author portrays each character with empathy, allowing the reader to perceive their feelings of exhaustion, despair, confusion, anger and fear. The story ends with a shocking twist which upends all Tess’s previous convictions.

This author tells a story with truth and grief that haunts the soul. It is real and powerful of a conscience set on fire and how truth ultimately cools the embers. I recommend this book for anyone who has carried grief and wants to make the world a better place.

This was a good book. It becomes an intricate character study and shows the emotional depth and trust that is required for people to form incredible human bonds under difficult circumstances. If you are looking for something different that focuses on the emotional weight of living in a destroyed world yet still has the pacing and action of military veteran survivors, this one will be a good read.

Aftermath: Loyalty is a gripping, character-driven post-apocalyptic novel set in a world devastated by a pandemic. I like the development of the three main characters and the choices they have to make.

What I liked about this book was the great attention paid to the characters. The writing carries a subtle emotional weight that makes even the smallest moments feel significant.

Very well written! From the outset, the story draws you in with its atmospheric tone and sense of intimacy. Overall, this is a novel for readers who enjoy reflective storytelling, emotional depth, and stories that linger with you after the final page.

I did really enjoy this book! It was a really good read & I found I was hooked pretty much, right from the start.

You can almost feel the grime, tension, and exhaustion as the prose draws you deeper into a world in which the real challenge is deciding who to trust when everything else has fallen apart.

 The constant back and forth between the characters, slowly learning their back stories and how they have developed throughout the books is great. 

This story is beautifully written and so well crafted that I couldn’t stop reading it.

This is a fantastic, emotion packed book full of great characters, one lovable dog, humor and an engaging story. I have loved every book by this author so I have high expectations, and this one didn't disappoint. Thank you to the author for this Arc copy. That is my honest opinion.

I had the pleasure of being an early reader for Out of Sight and like with the rest of Serenity's books, this one pulled at my heartstrings. Out of Sight takes place in Nova Scotia and the descriptive passages really made it clear what kind of community Rowan was from and what was going through her mind. Silas has lived a more complicated life and seeing what happens to him throughout the book...I felt like there were so many unanswered questions that I hope are answered in a future book.

The connection with Rowan and Silas was frosty at first, but the more they came in contact with each other, the more a relationship grew between them. I felt that despite their feelings for one another, Rowan was still very distrusting of him because Silas's communication with her was not great at all. Even with the lack of communication at times, "Out of Sight isn't always out of mind" as this book shows the reader.

The ending did come together well, but I felt that I was left with more questions than answers. Besides Rowan and Silas, I absolutely adored Mason. He added humor when it seemed like there wasn't room for it and he was there for Silas when Rowan wasn't. The relationship between him and Silas was complicated, but Mason only wanted Silas to be healthy in the long run.

Overall, this was an excellent book and I can't wait to read the next book when that time comes. Highly recommend to readers who enjoy contemporary fiction with complicated characters, romance, and adventure. I also recommend it readers who are looking for good reminder to treat people with kindness as you never know what a person is going through.

I HAVE NO WORDS. Oh my god, this book was stunning. I genuinely don't even know where to start because I loved every second of it.

I could not put this book down. The writing was unreal. Absolutely beautiful, fluid, and effortless in a way that completely pulled me into Rowan and Silas's world. I didn't just want to read their story, I wanted to stay there with them for as long as possible.

The connection between Silas and Rowan flowed so naturally. Nothing about them felt forced or rushed. Every conversation, every quiet moment, every bit of vulnerability between them built on the last until their connection felt so incredibly real. Watching these two slowly let each other in while both carrying so much beneath the surface was beautiful.

And Silas... my heart. There were so many moments in this story that absolutely broke me. Serenity Bea managed to make their story heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time, and the emotion woven throughout the entire book was just incredible.

The tears I wept over this book... and I have a feeling this story is nowhere near done making me cry. That ending left me desperately needing more of Rowan and Silas, and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. I just hope Serenity doesn't continue to butcher my heart because I don't know how much more it can take.

Beautiful. Emotional. Heartbreaking. Hopeful. Unforgettable.

I want more of Rowan and Silas. I want to stay in their world. I'm not ready to let them go.

This story truly encompasses the soul of Serenity Bea’s writing which is heartfelt and hard hitting. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. There wasn't the feeling that the book lacked depth or emotion, the story didn't feel rushed or leave me with more questions than answers, and nothing was revealed too quickly. It honestly felt as though the story was an onion that had it's layers peeled back and the center fully exposed by the end.

I absolutely loved this book and I have to say it was hard to hold back the tears! The story of a child disappearing and never coming back is just heartbreaking and the author handles it so beautifully. A really moving and emotional read that I can only recommend!

Bea's characters were flawed but their struggles relatable.

This is a story about grief, guilt, and connection centered around a missing child, his dying mother, and his aunt who dedicates her life to saving others from their same tragedy.

Once You’d Gone is a novella that grabs your heart and soul, carries you through and leaves you with the strength that comes from leaning in and exposing all the shadows to the light.

I found this book to be a gripping post-apocalyptic story that cares as much about emotional survival as physical survival. The characters are damaged in very different ways, and their tense, shifting bond gives the book its real strength. The moments of loyalty, fear, trauma, and reluctant tenderness are what stayed with me most. This is a strong, character-driven survival novel with real emotional weight.

The story is dark and raw but also surprisingly emotional and heartfelt. I love how the author writes from all three points of view so you really get inside each character and understand what they are thinking and feeling. A really powerful and moving read that stayed with me long after I finished!

Aftermath: Loyalty was not what I expected, It was better. The author has an Applied Psychology degree which shows in how precisely the trauma responses are written.

What makes Aftermath: Loyalty stand out is the character work. By the end of the second chapter, I was genuinely invested in Ellen, Daryl, and Cole, and that investment only deepened as the story unfolded. A very satisfying read.

Serenity Bea places a strong emphasis on connection, trust, and loyalty, which gives the story its emotional core. The progression of relationships feels natural and gradual, fitting the narrative's slow-burn nature.

After I got to know the characters, I couldn’t put the book aside. I was pulling for them and had to now how their story would end.

Serenity Bea’s refreshing take on the post-apocalyptic genre trades relentless action for emotional intensity and psychological depth.
