The Inspiration Behind “Aftermath: Loyalty”

Every story begins with a spark. For me, Aftermath: Loyalty grew from a question I couldn’t shake: How far would we go for love, loyalty, and survival if the world we knew suddenly crumbled?

The pandemic years changed all of us. They exposed both the fragility and the resilience of human connection. When I began writing Ellen, Cole, and Daryl’s journey, I was channeling not only their struggles, but also the emotions I had witnessed around me—fear, hope, and the desire to hold on to the people who matter most.

Through this story, I wanted to explore what happens when bonds are tested, when sacrifice is demanded, and when healing becomes just as necessary as survival.
